An exhibition of contemporary Korean art ‘Nirvana’ is currently running at VDNKH in Moscow: 8 artists are trying to escape the bonds of reality and explore the true nature of being through giant hyper-realistic portraits, photography, videos, 3d installations, sounds and light boxes.

На ВДНХ всё ещё работает небольшая выставка произведений современного искусства Южной Кореи “Нирвана”. С помощью фотографий, видео- и аудиоинсталляций, модульных конструкций и световых проекций восемь художников пытаются выбраться из оков реальности и изучить сущность бытия.
Chung Kyung-woo’s photo collage consists of 24 photos of photographers in action. The artist poses a question about the gap between seeing and being seen. The audience takes photos of this exhibit, but at the same time is being an object of the cameras in the art work.

Инсталляция Чхон Гён У состоит из 24 фоторабот, на которых изображены фотографы, снимающие объекты. Художник ставит вопрос о связи между видящим и видимым. Посетители фотографируют/смотрят на этот коллаж, но при этом сами становятся объектом съёмки.
The canvas that frames each tree is there by human design, turning the object into a subject, pulling it out of the landscape.
